Hi. It’s already up here – just scroll down to the first Olympics Greece theme day post on 8th September 2011, and you will be able to click on a link to all the olympic theme day menus for this year. Full details of the Australia menu and Bush tucker trial at the end of January will be posted up here and in the school newsletter next week.

Sorry but I have to leave a complaint comment. My daughter went for lunch on Monday 23/01/12 to be told they had run out of hot food and was given a slice of ham, slice of cheese and a boiled potatoe. This is unacceptable and is not value for £2.20. Unfortunately this is not the first time this has happened. There is no excuse for running out of hot dinners or even their choice as by now they should have the measure of normal requirements.
What about choices being made on line the previous week to make ordering a lot easier for the caterers.
I will be deducting the price of one meal from next weeks order. Thank you.

Thank you for your comment. We are very sorry to hear that your daughter was not served a hot meal at school yesterday, and also apologise for the fact that the same thing has happened previously. This is not acceptable and we will feed this back to the kitchen staff and abm, so that they can ensure that it doesn’t happen again. The problem with online choices is that pupils don’t always ask at the serving hatch for the meal that they have ordered, which obviously causes problems for the kitchen when they have catered for meals on the basis of the choices made at the beginning of each week. We don’t currently have an online selection/payment facility at the school. We will do what we can during the lunch hour to ensure that the meals are served only to those who have ordered and paid for them in advance. Do let us know if you have any other concerns/questions.

i was in school on Monday lunchtime and would just like to say yes there was a problem and a couple of children couldnt have the option they wanted, due to some others not using the coloured bands they should of been wearing to show what option they had ordered and instead changing their mind and choosing the main option. HOWEVER Pam and Cilla did a fantastic job as they always do and made sure every child got a lunch most had Half a jacket potato with beans, grated cheese and some ham, a piece of bread and a pudding if they didnt like jacket Pam offered them an alternative, i know it wasn’t what was on the menu but Pam always makes sure everyone gets a hot meal when on the odd occassion this happens and is always prepared to cook anything extra so they get something.
